Technician was professional - was masked with gloves and coverings on feet (thank you). Was through with both inside and outside inspection. A 9 out of 10 - Only problem, mask makes it difficult to understand— but that is true in all situations.
Very thorough HVAC system service

Completed 2 system tune up. Found downstairs system 8 years old with very clean blower and good electrical components. Filter is good. Added algae tablets to pump. Evap coil has slight corrosion which indicates the copper is being eaten away. System is not leaking at this time. Pressures are good outside as well as amps on both motors and power on capacitor. Upstairs unit is also 8 years old with clean blower wheel and slight corrosion on coil. Again no leaks at this time. Pressures are good. Delta T was 15.5 degrees which is in range. Systems are cooling properly at this time.
Arrived on site to complaints of water leak possibly from equipment, found it is not due to us, looks as if it is coming from vent stack for fireplace. System is operating normally at this time
No cool. Discovered system low on charge, did not detect leak, recharged system, installed compressor saver hard start kit to reduce stress on compressor and reduce energy consumption on start up which will extend the life of the system. Signed up for maintenance membership.
Completed install of new evap coil. Sealed coil. Flushed system with nitrogen. Pulled vacuum. Re charged system. Installed compressor saver. System cooling at this time.
Completed diagnostic. Found bad capacitor outside. Replaced capacitor. Pressures are good. System has compressor saver attached for both units. System cooling at this time. Customer wants consultation on new units.
No cool upstairs system. Check and find 15 year old carrier ac unit compressor can not starter and locking out internal overload. Find compressor overheated and faulty starter kit. Find system in attic missing in-line water protection. Customer need consultation visit for 15 year old upstairs system.
Completed diagnostic. Found drain line clogged tripping inline float switch. Cleared drain line. Got system running. Watched to make sure water is draining naturally. System cooling at this time. Outdoor system would benefit from having compressor saver installed to take load off compressor during start up and allow compressor to live longer. Would also benefit from having a surge protector installed to keep electrical components from over heating or failing during power surges. Indoor system would benefit from having UV light installed to kill bacteria allergens and viruses in house that could cause harm to residents.
Completed 2 system maintenance. Found both systems cooling properly. Main floor system has clean blower and coil. Good capacitor. Two working water safety switches. Cleared drain line. Working UV lights. Upstairs system has clean blower and coil. Two working water safety switches. System has no UV light system installed. Cleared drain line. Outdoor units both have good pressures and working electrical components including compressor savers and surge protectors.
No cool upstairs. Discovered system low o. Charge and leaking from evaporator coil. Coil under parts warranty only. Homeowner approved repairs and is paid in full. Charged system up for temporary cooling

System would benefit from UV light installed to kill bacteria viruses and allergens in the air. System would also benefit from having electro static filter installed to better filter air and keep system and house cleaner longer. Outdoor unit has good pressures and working electrical components.
Completed diagnostic. Found outdoor unit with rodent fries on capacitor and contactor making both fail. Indoor unit has leaking coil system is 13 years old and running on r22 Freon that is phased out. Suggest replacing system against repairing for better efficiency and cost. Having Garrett come out to give quote.
No cool upstairs. Discovered failed secondary controller. Replaced controller. After getting compressor to start discovered system low on charge. Homeowners decided to wait on the recharge as they are going to see if it is covered under warranty with company that installed the system
Completed diagnostic. Found system 17 years old with rusted evap coil. Outdoor unit has failed fan motor failed capacitor and burnt contactor. System needs to be replaced due to age and conditions.
Completed tune up on 14 year old system. System has slight dust on blower wheel. Drain line is clear. Filter is good. Outdoor unit has good pressures and is cleaned off with good working electrical components inside and out.
Performed cooling maintenance checked electrical, mechanical components, dusted electrical cabinet, changed filter, cleared drain line. Recommend adding back up water safety to protect system Incase drain line backs up. Recommend cleaning blower wheel found light dusting on blades. Recommend electrostatic filter to keep system cleaner. System operating and cooling at this time.
No cool. Found system low on r410a. System has no water safety and is therefore not up to code. Evaporator coil is rusty and corroded, recommend replacement of evaporator coil. Customer just wants to recharge system for now and knows he has a leak.Recharged system with 4 lbs r410a. System is cooling at this time.
No cool main system. Tested system and found the following: evaporator coil is very rusty and corroded and likely to leak.Dual capacitor was bad causing system to not turn on. A/c repair call. Found the system not cooling because the fuse was popped due to the main electrical switch being bad. Ohm reading across switch only read 1 ohm. Found a weak blower capacitor as well (5 uf). Found rusty, corroded evaporator coil likely to leak. The system is 11 years old and runs on r22, a refrigerant that has been phased out by the EPA. The system has no surge protection. The system has no overflow protection switch to serve as a backup to the primary water safety switch and to help protect the furnace from potential water damage. Due to the age and condition of the system, recommend upgrading the system to a more reliable and more efficient system. The customer just wants repair for now. Replaced blower capacitor and main electrical switch. The system is cooling at this time. The customer used $35 off coupon.
