HVAC inspection In Duluth. Tested operation of three systems. Discovered upstairs system with insufficient ductwork and attic insulation. Organic growth happening on the outside of the ductwork. System has no drain line water safety no gas drip leg. Basement system operation Normal. Main level system humidifier non-functional. All systems could use a duct cleaning and ultraviolet light systems to combat organic and viral growth in systems and throughout the home. All systems outside need suction line insulation and would greatly benefit from compressor saver Hardstark kids to reduce stress on compressor and reduce energy consumption on start up. Both systems in basement need water safety. Systems need maintenance but are operational.

Capacitor is very weak and needs to be replaced. System has no back up water safety switch to prevent water damage to furnace. Heating maintenance Duluth. Completed maintenance on 2 11 year old systems. Both systems heating properly. Ignitors and flame sensors are good. Inducer motors running good. Blowers are clean. Evap coils are very rusted and corroded. Suggest replacing them to avoid leaks in the future. Filters are good. Static pressure is good on both. All safety switches working. Systems would benefit from having UV light systems installed to kill any bacteria or viruses in air that could cause harm to residents. Gas lines on both are not ran properly to avoid sediment getting into gas valve that can cause it to fail. Need to re run gas line to utilize sediment trap.
